plus size lingerie and uk and australia
QUESTION 1 * Have you noticed a difference in the amount of large size bras you're selling? (what sizes do you sell up to?)
Miss E stock sizes from A cups right through to K cups, although our top selling sizes are 10E, F & G cup bras, 12 & 14E are also a popular size. We do supply smaller cup sizes however it is rare for us to receive orders below a D cup.
I have noticed recently a demand from size 8 women with larger breasts (DD cup plus) struggling to find bras in their size. We have a couple of brands that cater for 6s & 8s, and this size is proving to be very popular for us as there isn’t much available in the lingerie and department stores for these women.
According to medical experts, the reasons why our breasts are getting bigger are complex, and range from obesity to hormones, and alcohol to environmental factors. Another contributor towards the increase would be the popularity of younger women getting breast implants.
A full cup bra is the most supportive for bigger busted women. Although a full cup is not always the most sexy or flattering choice, most manufacturers produce balconette and plunge styles that have slightly thicker straps and/or light contouring (padding) which will also provide reasonable support.
Australia seems to be a bit behind compared to our US & UK counterparts. If you go anywhere in the US or UK it is easy to find larger sized bras in the department stores, whereas in Australia I don’t think we have really caught on that this generation seem to have bigger breasts, either naturally or augmented.
Yes I have noticed an increase in the number of large size bras we sell. In fact the reason why I started the Miss E (www.miss-e.com.au) business 2 years ago was from my own frustrations of not being able to find sexy everyday bras in bigger sizes.
Miss E Lingerie offers women of all sizes sexy flattering designer lingerie from A-K cup sizes. Choose from brands such as Pleasure State, Le Mystere, Bendon, Fayreform, Panache, Masquerade, Pour Moi and more. Shop online at www.miss-e.com.au and save up to 20% off the RRP.
QUESTION 2 * Have bra companies started to make bras in bigger sizes and introduce bigger cup sizes to their ranges?
QUESTION 4 *What should larger-breasted women look for in a bra? Is there a certain style or fit that is more supportive?
Unfortunately, too many females are still wearing bras that are way too small. A bra that is too small can be very uncomfortable and also very damaging to breast tissue
QUESTION 3 * Are there any statistics showing that breasts are getting bigger? Do we know why this is?
Yes we have noticed in the last 12 months there has been a few lingerie manufacturers introducing bigger styles to their ranges. Last year Pleasure State introduced their VIP range which caters for women between DD – G cups, Panache have also recently introduced 2 new brands, Cleo & Masquerade, that cater for C to K cups with sexy and fashionable bras on offer. The brands mentioned are available from our online store www.miss-e.com.au
